16. 1920. the daughter of Klisha C
and Amy (Cox I Watkins, early
settlers of the Heppner area
Much of her life was spent in the
Pendleton area although she lived in
Heppner for some time in the early
I94(is While in Heppner. she met
and married Harold French
She was preceded in death by her
husband. William Matthews, and a
daughter. Donna Porter
She is
survived by daughters Kathy Tiller.

Ruth H eim bigner. Kennewick,
Washington, a former lone resident,
died Saturday. April 13. in Portland
She was born December 4, 1920 to
Conrad and Bertha Schauerman. at
Odessa. Washington She married
Ray Heimbigner December 17, 1939
at Odessa The couple moved to lone
in 1944 where they operated the
Circle E Ranch southwest of lone
until 1979 when they sold Ihe ranch
and moved into town
They moved to Kennewick in July,
1982
Mrs Heimbigner was a member
of Hope Lutheran Church. Heppner,
and Willows Grange, lone
