last Saturday afternoon. April 6. as
they split a double header against
the Stanfield Tigers
The T igers sported a young team ,
as Junior Scott Wells and Mustang
ace Jim McConnell squared off in
gam e one
Each team scored two runs a p i« e
in the first inning Stanfield got three
hits, capped hv a two run triple by
Howard W agoner The M ustangs
cam e back in the bottom half of the
inning on Kick K iehl's two run
double
Things were relatively quiet the
next three innings
In the top of the fifth. Stanfield
scored a run from a throwing erro r
on third basem an Jo e Taylor Itul
that lead didn t last long as the
M ustangs scored four runs led by
Jim McConnell s double which scor
ed two runs and a series of erro rs
that scored two m ore, and Heppner
