Jerry Daggett retired from his

County School D istric t F rid a y .
March 1 He held the jHiMtion for
13 11 years and recalls at least two
major changes during that time
i ’opulation growth in the north end
of the county has created a need to
increase the numtx-r of bus routes
therefrom four in 1971 to 12* „■ routes
now This means that the total
numtier of miles the school buses
travel per year has increased, too.
from 2UU.OOO to ;!65.uoo He boasts
that there have tx-cn no bus related
student injuries during his time with
the district This would not have
been possible without good bus
drivers and a gixid administrator he
said
The other major change he recalls
is moving the bus shop from its old
location near lleppner grade school
to its present site at the opposite end
of the fairgrounds
Bill Adams who replaces Daggett
as TransjMirtation Supervisor has
been with the school district for four
years Hi- has worked at the Board
man Shop as Assistant Superv isor
Although he plans a major change
for himself, a move from Boardman
to the lleppner area where he
"hopes to live for many, many
years." he doesn't anticipate any
major changes at the bus shop
"There s really no need
Daggett said his plans for retire
