were very good
When they got

Last Kriday night was Homecom
ing week for the Heppner Mustangs
Remember last year's homecoming
game’’ The Mustangs probably-
played their best defensive game of
the year against the number one
team in the state. Enterprise, but
lost 16 0
The Whatonka Kagles are not the
number one team in the state this
year, but they're definitely not a
pushover either, and just like last
year the Mustangs have played their
best defensive game of the year, so
far
"W e played better defensively
against Whatonka." states Coach
Craig Kilching, "We still have a
tendency to give up the big play in
key situations Once we eliminate
that problem, I feel we can be pretty
solid." Hut first, the young Mus
tangs have to score
