Nosebands, tie downs, draw reins or martingales not permitted. No wire curbs, or chain curbs to be less than W in width. One hand on reins. Pattern will be posted day of show. 42. MC Working Cow horse class (x) Senior Performance Horse Points. One cow per rider. No dry work. Same equipment as for classes 25-31, roping reins permitted. There is to be a $5 cattle charge per entrant. The work shall begin when the rider signals for release of the cow. The contestant shall hold the animal to one end of the arena long enough to indicate to the judge that the horse is watching the cow. The cow shall be allowed to run down the side of the arena and the contestant shall turn the animal at least twice each way against the fence. The cow shall be taken to the center of the arena and circled once each way. The horse will be penalized for: 1. Running past the cow a horse's length, 2. Hanging up on the fence. 3. Not getting to the head of the cow when circling. 4. Running over the cow. 5. Biting, striking, bucking, or any other signs of bad manners. 6. Turning horse away from the cow and the fence when the horse should properly be turning toward the cow and the fence. 7. Pink or bloody mouth (inside). 43. MC Trail 17 and under 44. MC Trail 18 and under (x) (Senior Performance Horse Points) 45. Junior Trail ( ) 46. OPEN Trail All Ages ABOVE CLASSES to be judged on manners, performance and form. Contestants must follow prescribed course. Elimination for unnecessary delay or being off course. After third refusal per obstacle, participant must proceed to next obstacle. Practicing on course prior to its opening will result in automatic disqualification. Riders wishing to compete toward MC Junior or Senior Performance Horse must enter either class 43 for Junior or class 44 for Senior. Courses for Trail classes to be posted day of show. Trail classes to be judged from 11 a.m. 3 p.m. 47. MC Bareback Equitation - All Ages Riders to be judged on hands and seat and suitability of horse to rider. Horses to be worked both directions of ring at walk, trot and canter. 48. OPEN Bareback Equitation All Ages. To be judged same as class 47. Classes 46-48 will be judged during classes 39-42 49. OPEN Bareback Dollar Bill Ride No entry fee. Each contestant to furnish $1 bill, which will be placed under leg, and riders shall ride entire class routine as called by judge. As each entry drops the $1 bill, that person is eliminated. Last entries in class receive monies which other riders have dropped. No chaps or knee wraps allowed.
