The Army Corps of Engineers has torn out the old Alfalfa
Street Bridge and is replacing it with a new, larger one, said
Herb Bessey of the Corps. The new bridge will allow a
greater volume of water to flow underneath which will
facilitate waterflow in the outlet channel, that portion of
Willow Creek which is between the regular creek channel and
Willow Creek dam.
