Extension service to continue fertilizer
trials through '86

Morrow County
Fertilizer trials were conduc
ted in five Columbia Plateau
counties in 1982-83 by Hugh
Gardner, OSU Extension Soil
Scientists, in cooperation with
local wheat farmers and county
Extension agents. These trials
will be continued through the 1986
crop.
In Morrow County, there were
three trials in the 1983 crop year.
"Stephens" Wheat after fallow
was evaluated on a relatively
deep soil on the Ken Smouse farm
and on a relatively shallow soil on
the Ron Becket farm, No-till
annual cropped spring barley
was evaluated on the Rudy Berg
strom farm.
All fertilizers were banded at
