The Heppner Mustangs
finished their reason in high
fashion. Even though they lost
43-38, they played a heck of a
game against the fourth
ranked Pilot Rock Rockets
Friday night at home.
"I thought we played very
well," said Coach Brent Eg
gers, "We did every thing right
but shoot free throws."
Heppner would have won if
they would have converted
their free throws, connecting
on only 10 of 21 Pilot Rock hit
17 of 24. Both teams also shot
poorly from the field. Heppner
was 14 for 46 from the field for
30 percent and Pilot Rock shot
34 percent.
The Mustangs were only
down by one at the end of the
first quarter but were out
scored nine to four in the
second quarter. Heppner was
down by six, 21-15, at the half.
