Strictly Off the M MASH. COMES TO IONE HIGH ill M'Lrif R Wit' 111 How far is it from the front itepc of lone High School to London, England? How about Juneau, Alaaka? Or Mexico City? In the spirit of the popular movie and television show "M A S H.," the students at lone High have erected signs outside the school telling you how many miles these, and other far off (and not so far off) places, actually are. At the mythical 4077th, the signs are hung on a post in the middle of the hospital camp. At lone they are hung on a pole outside the school. - And just how far is London from lone? Well, you'll have to go there, look up in the air, and find nut for yourself. "IT TAKES A WOMAN ..." It was the girls who had the last laugh on a Heppner High School ski outing to Mt. Bachelor last weekend. After two days of dishing out the comments on the incompetence of women, who was it who locked themselves in the showers? After screaming for help for 15 minutes, seven wet, unclothed males were very glad that there were some "incompetent" females who were there to hear them. Who's all wet now, boys? FIGHTING FIRE WITH FIRE It seems Jiat a few members of the Heppner Fire Department have developed a sudden interest in aerobic dance. Their interest hss so far been just for laughs, but Fire Chief Forrie Burkenbine might consider the dance class a requirement for department volunteers. They would certain ly be in better physical condition, and would be able to run to the fire hall faster. And after the first 15 minutes of one of Joyce Hughes' classes, we'd all love to see how hard they'd laugh . . . providing they're still breathing! Note: leotards and legwarmers will be provided upon request.
