held at the Lexington Grange
Hall on Sunday, Feb. 12, from
1 to 3 p.m. Pinochle will begin
at 3 p.m. and prizes will be
awarded. Door prizes will also
be given. Cost to attend is $4 50
for adults and $2 for children
age six through 12. Everyone
is Invited to attend.

two-hour special on federal In
come taxes moderated by Mike
Connors, television's "Mannix,"
and former Miss America. Lee
Meriwether, plus a panel of IRS
representatives will provide
advice on all aspects of federal
income tax return presentation.
During the program, viewers
will be able to call the IKS
toll-free lax information number
I (MKM24 1040. and receive an
swers to their tax questions.
Special emphasis will be placed
on two significant changes In
Form UMoA. This year for the
first time taxpayers will be able
to claim Individual Retirement
Accounts and Child Care Credits
on the shorter KMOA. enabling
millions of taxpayers to switch to
that form from the more compli
cated Form HMO.

tions on the completion of Form
in-joKZ. the special lax form for
non itemizing single taxpayers,
nnd Form 1040A. the "short
form " The second hour of the
broadcast will focus on helpful
information for those planning to
file the "long form" 1040.
