won their first Big Sky Con
ference game by defeating the
Condon Blue Devils on Friday,
Jan. 27. The final score was 61
to 35.
The game marked the re
turn of Mark Meyers who had
missed two games with an
ankle injury.
lone opened the game by
taking a 12 to 7 first stanza
lead.
The Cardinals hit for 22
second period points en route
o a 34-17 halftime lead.
Mevers tossed in nine during
the period.
In the third quarter. lone
increased the lead o 44-25.
Mevers scored eight in the
fourth quarter to make the
final figure fil to 35.
Mevers was the game's
leading scorer with 21 points.
Randv McCahe and Jeff Ball
added 12 and ll respectively.
Craig Hams grabbed 10 of
tone's 37 rebounds.
Freshman Scott Miller led
the Blue Devils with 10 points.
Chuck Anderson pulled down
