A step toward maturity
To the editor:
I want to commend the
young people who attended the
concerned parents' meeting
Wednesday night and contri
buted to the discussion on
alcohol use by minors in our
community.
It seemed to me that they
wer taking a large step
toward maturity by being
there and voicing their opi
nions rather than staying
away to laugh at and wonder
about what the old folks are up
to now. They expressed the
reality of the situation in

Although their views often

and contributed in an open and

We hope that "our group"
won't become just a group of
concerned parents and inte

working unit of adults and
young people. Let's all work
on it together: everyone will
benefit. I want to thank them

Here are tome interesting
fact about your tkin that
you may not know:
The tkin of the aver
age person, if it were spread
out flat, would cover about
18 square feet.
The skin is the largest
organ of the human body.
The skin of an adult
weighs about six pounds.
A piece of skin the
size of only a quarter con
tains a yard of blood vessels,
four yards of nerves, 25
nerve ends, 100 sweat glands
and more than three mil
lion cells.
It is most important
to take care of your kin.
