LETTERS'5
Don't want to
To the editor:
I join with and speak for a
numher of local parents who
are both upset and scared.
They are upset about teen
ace drinking in southern Mor
row County. They are upset
because:
1 Some segment of our
community is easily supplying
alcohol for teens and there
seems to be no control of it.
2 There is a group of older
teenaee boys who are supply
ing alcohol and encouraging
vouncer teens to drink.
3. Some local law enforce
ment officials have said they
do not enforce laws pertaining
to teens and drinking. They
have received what they per
ceive to he a clear signal from
the community NOT to strictly
enforce those laws.
These parents are scared to
speak out publicaly because
thev see a group of teens who
will hound and persecute their
children for the parents'
stand
1 think this group of teens
has eotten away with this kind
of behavior because this
communitv allows it:

If vou don't like this atmos

actions vou can take:
1 Attend a meeting about
the local situation on Wednes
day. Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. in the
court room of the Morrow
Countv Courthouse.
2. Tell citv councils and
countv government you want
strict enforcement.
3. Tell police you want them
to enforce drinking laws
even if your child is involved.
4. Turn in teenage drinkers
to police.
5 Especially, turn in anyone
sunnlvine alcohol to minors.
I must admit that my mo
