court roady to win, They were
really fired up. Meppner's
serves were hard to receive.
The TigerScots also were ser
ving very well, and hard. But
the Fillies bumped them up
right to the setter and the ball
was spiked down hard. The
Fillies had good teamwork.
They were talking and moving
very well. They were on their
foes all the lime and ready for
the hall to go anywhere. The
score was close all the way
through the match but the
Blue Devils reached 15 points
tirst so the match went to
them with a score of 15-11.
In the second match, the
Fillies were reallv ready to
win this one to slay in the
game, With their good team
work and serves, the Fillies
pulled through in a close one.
The score was 15-12.
In the third match the Fil
lies were ready to go. they
were again playing a super
game, Heppner really got the
crowd going. It was an exci
ting game to watch. There was
a lot of net play and the Fillies
did great. Their spikes went
down hard but unfortunately
the TigerScots picked them
up. However, when the Tiger
Scots spiked them down, the
Fillies were right there and
bumped them up to the setter
and set it up for another hard
spike.
The score was close through
the whole game, but a few too
many mistakes for the Fillies
gave the TigerScots another
win. The score was 15-13.
"I hated to see the girls have
a league loss. We played hard
but had too many mistakes at
the end of the third match. We
had a good lead in the third
match, but we lost it," said
Heppner Coach Barbara Ste
fani. After meeting Stanfield
there on Tuesday, the Fillies
next game will be against
Umatilla at home on Thurs
day. Oct. 13. at 5 p.m.
