Fillies handed loss
from Condon
By DAN A REID
The varsity Fillies' team
played the Condon Blue Devils
at Condon October 4.
The Fillies went out on the
floor excited and were ready
to win. They were plaving a
super game. They had excel
lent teamwork and were real
ly hustling for the ball. Both
teams were spiking the ball
hard to the other team, mak
ing them really work. As the
Blue Devils started scoring
more points the Fillies started
falling apart. Their serves
were continuing to go over the
net but when the ball was back
on the Fillies' side they just
couldn't get it back over. The
first match went to the Blue
Devils. The score was 15-3.
In the second match, the
Fillies just weren't fired up.
The Fillies had good hard
serves, when they went over
th nt but th Bin Devils
were setting it up for a spiker
to spike it down hard. The
Fillies had to give everything
they had to get the ball up. The
game and match went to the
Blue Devils with a score of
15-9.
"We could have played a lot
better and hopefully we will
when Condon comes to Hep
pner." said Heppner Coach
Barbara Stefani
