fully designed so that the 4 H
member uses the skills and
knowledge learned in skill
level one in skill level two,
Sawer said. This way. each
succeeding skill level builds
naturally upon the ones befoer
eit and the 4 H member is
better prepared for the chal
lenges offered in the more
advanced levels.
It has also meant that 4 H
members are freer to choose
what they want to make. The
onlv limiting factors are the
skills the 4 H'er has mastered.
The 4 M member may set his
or her own goals in the pro
ject, as well.
This year also marks the
introduction of the new 4 H
clothing advancement pro
gram as a special option. The
advancement program in
cludes both voluntary and re
quired knowledge and skills to
tie learned by the 4 H member
at each skill level.
The advancement program
will allow 4 H ers to chart
their accomplishments as
they progress through a
project. A special certificate
is given at the end of each skill
level to those completing the
advancement option.
The 4 H clothing project has
remained one of the most
popular of all projects offered
through the youth education
program of the OSU Extension
Service. More information
about the project is available
from the Morrow County Ex
tenxion Office.
