LETTERS
ppreciates
To the editor:
It is not uncommon to re
ceive notes, cards and letters
of appreciation and encour
agement from patients we
have served. We always pass
them on to our people on the
floors because it is their dedi
cation that patients are re
sponding to.
Our purpose in writing this
letter, and enclosing a copy of
a recent patient's letter is to
publicly acknowledge our ap
preciation of our fine staff.
Were it not for their attitude,
capabilities, and deep concern
for the people in their care,
our patients would not leave
with a warm feeling for the
hospital and we would not
receive the nice letters.

Corrections
A picture caption appearing
in last week's Gazette-Times
was in error. The picture,
which was run with the story
"Well-known Western artist
receives national recogni
tion," stated that Ruth Nut
ting was the subject for the
1983 painting. The figures
were transposed. The painting
was done in 1938.
Last week's story entitled
"Local 4-Hers take awards at
state fair" also included FFA
results from the Morrow
County Fair. All FFA results
listed, except those of Jay
Hayes in the state FFA tractor
Driving Contest, were from
the county fair.

PJVIJL staff
pner had a hospital as we live
in Portland and it would have
been dangerous to transport
back to Portland for treat
ment. Your staff should be
commended for their excel
lent care and above all, their
personal attention. These
things are often lacking in big
hospitals. I especially appre
ciated being able to visit as
much as I did, being away
from home. The staff was very
considerate of me and our
large family that came up on
the weekend to bring our
motor home for transportation
home. We were very impres
sed with the care Dr. Koznek
gave Glen taking time both
for consultation with our Port
land doctors and personal at

the medical school Tuesday
here in Portland. Both oncolo

pleased with his progress and
the treatment he received in

Please let your staff know of
our appreciation and we hope
you all keep up the good work.
