to a Police Officer;
Virgil Dechand. 23, of Her
miston - alleged Unauthorized
Use of a Vehicle;
James Dean Crismon, 32, of

Sheriffs Report
The Morrow County Sher
iffs Department at the Mor
row County Courthouse in
Heppner handled the following
calls, cases and reports during
the past week:
On June 14. a Heppner am
bulance responded to a resi
dence above Blake Ranch
near Heppner for a male who
was ill.
Also on June 14, a Heppner
ambulance responded to a
report of a female who was ill
at a Heppner residence.
In a third June 14 incident,
Thomas Gomez Pena, 25, of
Hermiston, was arrested for
alleged menacing, and
Edward Montoya Jr. was ar
rested for alleged Second De
gree Criminal Mischief and
Third Degree Criminal Mis
chief. They were both arrested
by a Morrow County sheriffs
officer and were released on
their own recognizance.
On June 15, Ernest L. King,
38. of Irrigon, was arrested by
a sheriffs officer for alleged
Criminal Mistreatment. He
was lodged at the Umatilla
City Jail.
On June 18, Michael Ray
Conklin of lone reported the
theft of a cassette player from
his pickup while it was parked
at the V & G Tavern in
Lexington the evening of June
17.
On June 19, a grass fire was
reported at Wilson and Olson
roads in Boardman. The
Boardman Fire Department
responded to the call.
Also on June 19, Joann
Hansen reported that a pickup
hit her. knocked her down and
took off at about 9:45 p.m. She
was taken to Pioneer Memor
ial Hospital in Heppner (See
related story). The Heppner
City Police handled the report.

Mrs. and Mr. Dan Wilson
The wedding of Laurie McCabe and Dan Wilson took place
at the First Baptist Church of McMinnville March 26 with the
Rev. Galen T. Gingerich of the Faith Christian Assembly
Church officiating.
The bride wore her mother's wedding gown of white slipper
satin with a string of opera length cultured pearls belonging
to her grandmother, Mary E. Bristow, of lone, who also
made the wedding gown. She carried a cascading bridal
bouquet of pink roses, stephanotis and chrysanthemums with
a matching headpiece holding her floor length viel.
Her attendants were Mary Wilson, matron of honor; and
bridesmaids Tonia Roe and Kim Wilson. The groom's
attendants were Larry Roe, bestman, and ushers were Steve
Wilson and John McCabe.
Candlelighters were friends of the bride, Patti Allstott and
Joan Ployhar, both of Heppner.
The wedding cake was served by Roberta House and Vicki
.Noble, aunts of the groom. Punch and coffee were served by
Pam Doherty of Wilsonville, and Lisa Gifford of Prairie City,
both sisters of the bride. Sonja McCabe was in charge of the
guest book.
An evening buffet was served for friends and relatives at
the Wilsonville home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Doherty.
The brides parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McCabe
of Heppner. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Wil
Wilson of Dayton.
The groom is a graduate of Blue Mountain Community
College and a self-employed farmer. The bride is a
veterinary assistant at the Nehalem Animal Clinic in
Newberg.
After a wedding trip to Sun River and Mazatlan, Mexico,
the couple is at home in Dayton.

Smith Healy
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Healy of Heppner announce the
engagement of their daughter, Janice, to Dale Smith, ton of r
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Smith of Brewster, Wash.
Miss Healy graduated from Heppner High School and Blue
Mountain Community College. She is now employed by the
Morrow County district attorney's office.
Mr. Smith graduated from Brewster High School and
Central Washington State University with a degre in
secondary education. He is currently working on the family
ranch.
The couple will be married August 19 at St. Patrick's
Catholic Church at 7 p.m.
Wick Haguewood
Kristi Haguewood and Michael Wick, both of Hermiston,
announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Ron Haguewood of lone
and Lynne Haguewood of Portland. Mr. Wick is the son of
Marjorie Wick and the late Lester Wick of Hermiston.
A July 9 wedding is planned at First United Methodist
Church in Hermiston.
Miss Haguewood is a graduate of Heppner High School and
Pacific University. She is employed as a handicapped
learner specialist at West Park Elementary School in
Hermiston.
He is a graduate of Hermiston High School and Oregon
State University. He is employed by Northwest Nutritional
