were made regardless of
grade point for the first term
with a 1.5 GPA required
thereafter.
Under the new ruling, stu
dents must maintain a 1.5
GPA the first term and a 2.0
(C average) thereafter to con
tinue to claim the eight cents

The new policy will go into
effect fall term of 1983.
During its meeting, the
board recessed to executive
session to discuss faculty ne
gotiations for the current year
and the president's contract.
Following the session, the
board voted to ratify the
agreement negotiated with the
faculty which distributed a 5.6
percent salary increase based
on half of the increase being

with the other half applied as a
percentage increase on each
faculty member's 1981-82
salary.
The board also voted to
extend President Ron Daniels
contract through June 30, 1986.
President Daniels requested
that he be granted no salary
increase for 1983-84. The board
felt that an . increase was
justified and decided to consi
der such an increase as other
salary negotiations progres
