Thomas Winston West
moreland III. 20. of Umatilla,
will be resubmitted to a grand
jury on charges of alleged
Aggravated Murder. Murder,
First Degree Robbery and
Frist Degree Theft later this
month, reported Morrow
County District Attorney
Richard J. McNerney. West
moreland was indicted by a
grand jury January 3. but due
to a technicality, his case
must be resubmitted.
In other news. McNerney
reported:
Randy S. Greene. 18. of
Irrigon, pleaded guilty to
charges of Second Degree
Theft and First Degree Crim
inal Trespass last Thursday in
Morrow Co. Circuit Court. He
was sentenced to six months in
jail on both offenses.
John Paul Johnson, 18, of
Irrigon, was convicted by a
jury on charges of First De
gree Theft and Second Degree
Burglary.
Ted Sampson. 35, of Irri
gon, was convicted by a jury
of Failure to Have a Brand
Inspection prior to Interstate
Shipment of Cattle on January
31 in Irrigon Justice Court. He
was sentenced to pay a $250
fine.
Rick Eugene Rogers, 25,
of Pendleton, was sentenced
February 2 to 20 days in the
Umatilla County Jail with
credit given for time pre
viously served, must make
restitution to Ye Old Swap
Shop. Hermiston. must pay
court appointed attorney fees,
was placed on probation for
two years and must pay pro
bation costs. Rogers was
charged with alleged First
Degree Theft and later
pleaded guilty to Second
Degree Theft after an incident
occurring July 13. 1982.
John Krebs, 32, of lone,
was sentenced February 2 on
charges of First Degree Theft
to three years probation. 60
days in jail and must pay
$362 50 restitution to Gerald
Rea and must make himself
and his property available for
inspection by his probation
officer.
