There were 35 buyers and 55 consignors represented at
Thursday's market.
MARKET TREND: We had a good bunch of feeder cattle
for this week's sale with them selling steady to $2.00 stronger.
Feeder heifers were in stronger demand again as were
choice quality steers weighing 500-600 lbs. Bulls held steady
to stronger although the cow market dropped off $2.00.
NEXT SALE: Thursday, October 14. We have some nice
cattle coming in for this sale Including 100 head of 400-500
weight X-Bred calves, 90 head of heavy steers, and 60 head of
700 weight black baldy and white face heifers. The following
sale, October 21 will feature weaned calves with several 200 &
300 head consignments of good quality calves. We expect at
least 1200 head for this sale. Please contact Jim Kirby or
LaGrande Livestock as early as possible regarding your
consignments as this assists us in promoting your stock.
