Intending to finalize and sign
the Intergovernmental agree
ment between Heppner and
Boardman. Instead, addition
al changes in the wording of
the agreement were made.
The changes will be submitted
to the cities for their approval.

The Morrow County Gun
Club will hold a meeting at 10
a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12 at the
club, said a club spokesper
son. The club is located behind
the Lexington Grange Hall at
Cutsforth's Corner.
Members are asked to wear
old clothes and bring paint
brushes, a sack lunch and a
friend. Beverages will be pro
vided, the spokesperson said.
A shoot will be held after the
clubhouse is painted, the
spokesperson concluded.

will consist of 27 holes; a
nine-hole qualifying round and

Mustangs9 season
looks promising

The 1982-83 football season
has begun and the Heppner
Mustangs are preparing to
meet the challenge of a new
year and new assignments.
One being the replacement of
John Sporseen by Les Payne,
as head coach. Payne pre
viously filled the spot of J.V.
Coach and was assistant to
Sporseen.
With practice well under
way. Coach Payne's obser
vations are very optimistic
about the Mustangs' season,
stating "Things look very pro
mising." The Mustangs have a lot of
holes to fill in their line-up,
having lost nine starters. But
Payne believes that the team
has "Enough potential and
ability to fill the spots. We'll
just have to keep working to
