Forest will have an open house
to review the District's Sale
Program for fiscal years 1982
through 1986.
The open house will be at the
District Office on Sage Hill
Drive in Heppner on August 23
between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30
p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and 8:30
p.m.
Information about the timber
sales planned on the District
will be available for review.
The sale program is subject to
revision made necessary by
additional resource informa
tion and by further envi
ronmental considerations.
Public input is welcomed.

There were 27 buyers and 66 consignors represented at
Thursday's market.
MARKET TREND: We had a strong active market with
heavy feeder cattle trading still active. Heifers were $1
higher. Light steer calves were stronger with heavy steer
calves not well tested due to the short numbers in that class.
NEXT SALE: Thursday, August 19th. The September 2nd
sale is shaping up to be cracker jack sale with 1,000 head of
cattle expected.
