On Wednesday afternoon,
the PNG Club of Holly Re
bekah Lodge entertained 36
members of PNG Clubs
throughout the area. Dinner
was enjoyed at 12:30 p.m. The
tables were decorated in a
May Day theme, with small
basket cakes, candles, and
geraniums. A reading "Small
Town" was enjoyed, after
which the group played bingo
with each guest going home
with a prize.
Flossie Breeding, a resi
dent at Good Samaritan Cen
ter, underwent major surgery
at Consolidated Good Shep
herd Hospital in Hermiston
last week. She is a sister of
Delbert Vinson and a former
Lexington resident.
Delbert Vinson is a patient
in the Veteran's Hospital in
Walla Walla. Wash.
Alma Vinson is a patient at
Good Shepherd Hospital in
Hermiston, having undergone
major surgery there last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. Riley Munkers
of Heppner were dinner guests
of their son and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Riley Munkers on
Mother's Day.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Yocom,
daughter, Marie and her
fiance Leland Jones were An
telope visitors on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Peck and
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Yocom were
Portland callers over the May
1 weekend They enjoyed a
breakfast brunch at the Quay
in Vancouver for the state
officers and spouses of the
Rebekah Assembly of Oregon.
They visited the Oddfellow
Home and saw the new sunken
tub that has been installed for
the residents. The tub was the
president of 1981 and grand
master's project for that year.
They attended a tea at the
home and visited with Mr.
Yocom 's grandfather, Sam
Brock, at the Friendship Cen
ter there. Then they went on to
Rufus where they visited Mr.
Yocom's father and his wife,
returning home late Sunday
evening. Mrs. Peck is Inside
Guardian of the state
assembly this year.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jones
attended a wedding Saturday
at the First Christian Church
in Hermiston of Tina Marie
Miller and Brian Ray. The
bride was lovely in a floor
length chiffon gown with a
long train and shoulder length
veil. She was escorted up the
aisle by her father. Glen Mil
ler. Following the ceremony,
Mr. and Mrs. Miller entertain
ed with a lovely buffet at their
home in Hermiston. The
young couple will reside in
Hermiston where each are
employed, after a short trip to
the Seattle, Wash. area. Tina

and Jana. all motored to Port
land last week where they
attended the wedding of Phil
lip Marquardt, the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Bill B. Marquardt,
and Paula Martin. Betty Mar
quardt mntore to Eugene
where she visited her daught
er Lolita Grace and family. -
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Flail and
Jodi of Portland and Annie
Pieper of Hermiston have
been recent visitors at the
Erda Pieper home.
Beers returned home and Mrs.
Allen came back to Lexington.
Edith R. Beers of Morro
Bay, California, visited last
week with her niece and hus
band. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle
Allen They visited on Sunday
in Portland with Mrs. Allen's
mother at the Friendship
House of the Rebekahs. Mrs.
Holly Rebekah Lodge met
on Thursday evening for a
regular meeting. Plans were
discussed for initiation, the
first part of June, and a flea
market, to be held Sat., June
2 at the I.O.O.F. Hall in
Lexington. There will also be a
pie. coffee and food sale on the
schedule. Anyone wanting to
donate articles for this sale
are asked to contact Joyce
Buchanan or Virginia Peck
for pickup. A guest, Edith
Beers of Morro Lodge No. 57
was welcomed to the meeting.
She spoke a few words about
the Rebekahs and her lodge.
Refreshments were served in
the dining room from tables
set in a Mother's Day theme
with candle arrangements,
flowers and small containers
of candies and nuts.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris McCarl
entertained on Mother's Day
with a dinner and family
get-together, present were a
daughter. Mrs. Dan Coiner
and three sons, Lee, daughter
Sharon of Monmouth, Mr. and
Mrs Denny McMillan end
sons and Mr. McCarl's and
Mrs. McMillan's mother,
Audrey McCarl of Harrisburg.
