team pounded Stanfield 54 -17.

Mustang frosh win over
Umatilla in re-match
The Heppner Freshman
team met the Umatilla Vi
kings on Monday, Jan. 18 on
the Viking's home court. The
Mustangs were victorious, 60 -24
after taking an earlier loss
to the Vikings.
Steve Currin led the revenge-seeking
Mustangs with
16 points. David Green added
14 points to a winning effort
and Todd Miller was next with
13. Ron Doherty had nine

good game offensively and

of the Soroptimist Citizenship
Awards.
Winner of the $100 bond is
Ann Lindsay, daughter of Mr.

Margaret Kincaid. a 1981
graduate of Heppner High
School, is a member of the
Eastern Oregon State College
women's basketball team for
the 1981-82 season.
"Although not a member of
the traveling squad. Kincaid.
a 5'4" freshman, has shown a
desire to further develop her
skills in the game." said a

Oregon State College at La

To qualify for the honor roll,
students must have a grade
point average of 3.5 or higher

Jerry Rietmann of lone
recently received a letter of
commendation from the Uni
versity of Idaho. College of
Agriculture, for being one of
68 students on the Dean's
Honor Roll for the first
semester.
Jerry is a sophomore at the
university and is majoring in
Agricultural Economics. He is
a member of Delta Chi
Fraternity and was recently
elected rush chairman for the
coming year.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Rietmann.

The Heppner Mustangs just
keep on rollin', this time
claiming Stanfield as a victim,
63 - 57 in action at home last
Friday night.

year, as he poured in 22 points,
grabbed 13 rebounds and
dished out four assists in
Heppner's eleventh straight
