ONE YEAR LEVY Fo GENERAL ROAD REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
Morrow County, Oregon
Combined Precincts No. 2, 6, 7, 8 & 9 Heppner

Mark a Cross (X) or a Check Mark (v) in the voting square before the word "YES" or
before the word "NO" for the answer voted for. .
QUESTION
SHALL THE VOTERS AUTHORIZE MORROW COUNTY TO LEVY $525,000
FOR ONE YEAR FOR REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF COUNTY ROADS?
PROPOSAL
The purpose of this measure is to provide special funds for one year, that is; to
supply $375,000 for match money with the State of Oregon to do necessary
construction work on two and one-half miles on Bombing Range Road, and to
make available $150,000 for purchase of asphalt and other needed supplies for
effective road maintenance.
EXPLANATION
If you vote yes. the County will have needed match money to enter into a work
agreement with the State of Oregon to complete the rebuilding of the remaining
two and one-half mile strip of Bombing Range Road. The State wOl do the work
and provide the rest of the needed funds. In addition, the County will have funds
to purchase asphalt and other supplies to do general maintenance work on other
county roads. The progressively deteriorating condition of County roads makes it
imperative that they receive some treatment to avoid further damage.
If this measure is approved it will result in an estimated tax rate of $0.911000 of
assessed value for fiscal year 1981-82.
