forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mary Josephine, to
David Earl Dunning, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Dunning of
Salem.

Biddle McCabe
Mr. and Mrs. Marion Biddle, Heppner, announce the
forth coming marriage of their daughter, Sonja Rae, to John
Edmund McCabe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McCabe of
Heppner.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, at 2:30 p.m., at
the United Methodist Church in Heppner.

SHERIFF'S
REPORT
The Sheriff's Department at
the Morrow County Court
house in Heppner handled the
following calls during the past
week :
On July 20. Linda Patton,
Irrigon, reported the theft of a
10 speed bicycle from her back
yard. The Morrow County
Sheriff's Office handled the
call.
On July 23, the Navy
requested assistance with a
fire on the bombing range that
was reported out of control.
The Boardman Fire Dept.
responded to the call.
On July 24, Eldon E. Owen,
lone, was arrested by a
Morrow County Sheriff's dep
uty for alleged violation of a
release agreement. Owen was
lodged at the Umatilla County
Jail.
Also on July 24, Orozco G.
Gomez, Boardman was ar
rested on a Morrow County 5th
Justice Court warrant by a
Morrow County Sheriff's
deputy for failure to appear in
court and having no operators
license. He was lodged at the
Umatilla City Jail.
On July 25, Alan Holmes
Shop, Boardman, reported
several items stolen from the
shop. The Boardman Police
Department responded to the
call.
Also on July 25, Linda
Hudson, Boardman, reported
her mobile home had been
broken into and vandalized.
The Boardman Police Depart
ment responded to the call.
In another July 25 incident,
the Oregon State Police of
Hermiston requested an am
bulance for a man at a rest
area near Boardman. A
Boardman ambulance re
sponded to the call.
Also on July 25, Petty
Officer First Class Simpson,
Naval Bombing Range, re
ported vandalism to a chain
link fence. A Morrow County
Sheriff's deputy responded.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Dee Ann Hedman and Robert Earl Miller were united in
marriage at the Heppner United Methodist Church during an
afternoon ceremony June 20.
Dee is the daughter of Arnie and Rita Hedman of Heppner,
and Bob is the son of Glenn and Lee Miller, Hermiston.
Officiating at the ceremony was the Rev. S. Michael
Sheirdan of the Heppner United Methodist Church.
Organ music was provided by Carley Drake. "Follow Me"
was sung by Tim and Steve Hedman, brothers of the bride.
Linda Bier of Heppner was maid of honor. Lynne
Gochnauer, Davenport, Washington, was a bridesmaid.
Best man was Glen Diehl of Hillsboro. Mark Piper of
Seattle, Tim Hedman of Heppner and Steve Hedman of
LaGrande were ushers. .
Melissa Hedman, niece of the bride, was the flowergirl.
A reception in the church basement followed.
Both bride and groom are students at Oregon State
University and reside in Corvallis.

Mr. and Mrs. Michael
Barbara Fairchild and Michael Orwick were married in an
afternoon ceremony June 27, in Shelton, Washington.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Len Fairchild of
Shelton, Wash., formerly of Albany, Oregon.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Orwick of
Lexington.
The Reverend Don Maddox of St. David's Episcopal
Church in Shelton officiated at the ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white
gauze dress trimmed with lace. She carried a bouquet of
yellow roses with peach colored and white carnations. She
wore a headdress of the same flowers, and her mother's
pearls.
Susan Wolfe, Portland, was "best lady." Duane Disque,
cousin of the groom, was best man. Seating the guests were
Dan Gates and Bruce Whales, friends of the groom.
Before the ceremony, Geneva Mathews of Heppner sang
"The Wedding Song." Following the ceremony Mrs.
Mathews and the bride's sisters, Mary Ellen Fairchild, Jar
Higby, and Joanne Kief sang for the guests.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home
of the bride's parents.
There will be a reception for friends and relatives in the
Heppner area on August 8, at 2 p.m., at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Gene Orwick, Lexington.
