GENERAL FFA RULES
I. OPEN TO ALL FFA MEMBERS IN MORROW COUNTY. Exhibits shall be part of
the exhibitor's supervised farming program.
2. EACH EXHIBITOR SHALL HAVE OWNED ANIMALS AT LEAST 90 DAYS.
MARKET LAMBS AND HOGS MUST BE IN EXHIBITORS POSSESSION AT
LEAST 60 DAYS.
$. NO ANIMAL OR CROP SHALL BE ENTERED IN FFA AND OPEN CLASS OR 4-H
AT THE SAME TIME.
4. "LIVESTOCK SHALL BE ON THE GROUNDS BY U:0 A.M. Tuesday, August
25. Animals may only be removed early by special permission of the
superintendents.
5. Each exhibitor shall be responsible for the care of his or her animals. Manure and
waste to be piled as instructed in the general rules in the front of this book by 8:00
a.m. each morning. Premium money may be withheld if animals are unmanageable,
not groomed or if stalls are dirty.
6. ALL ANIMALS MUST APPEAR IN THE SHOW RING TO BE JUDGED. ALL
EXHIBITORS MUST BE ABLE TO SHOW AND HANDLE THEIR OWN
ANIMALS.
7. ALL MARKET ANIMALS ARE SHOWN AS ONE BREED. Classes are divided by
weight.
8. ONE ENTRY PER LOT. Except for market lambs and hogs, one exhibitor may
enter 2 Iambs or 2 hogs.
. Exhibitors that desire to sell their animals through the sale must submit a "Feed
and growth record" current up to the fair weigh-in. These need not be a specific
form, although "4-H 140R" will suffice, but should include the following data:
member's name, animal's name and description, purchase date and weight,
animals breeding, all weights made during the project period, a record of all feed
consumed and its cost, a record of veterinary and other expenses, and other data
that is pertinent to your records. The object of these records is to help you
determine whether you made, or lost, money on your project.
