Cake may be one or more layers, any shape.
Prepare and decorate cake at home. Enter at same time as other food exhibits.
Contest will be Judged on creativity, decorating skills, color combinations.
Attach card or information sheet indicating for what occasion the cake would be
used (example: birthday cake for 3-year-old)

DIVISIOH 10 - HOME ENVIRONMENT
An exhibit consists of an article made for the home. Include an explanation to tell
the fair audience (1) what the article is. (2) how it was made, and (3) how it will be
used in the home. Explanations will not be judged, but must be complete and
accompany the article to qualify for Judging.
If a member's work cannot be brought to the State Fair (example; a remodeled
bedroom ) a member may exhibit an explanation of his-her work which shows and
tells what he-she has done.

DiVISIOtl 1 - 4-H LEATHERCRAFT
Only one article or pair of articles is exhibited. Refer to the member's guide, 4-H
Leathercraft Project 4-H 750, for detailed information.
Members are to enter exhibits in the class as identified by skill demonstrated.
Exhibits will be Judged on the skills outlined in the following classes. If exhibits
entered in the claB contain additional demonstrated skills, the skill will be evaluated,
extra credit will not be given but will be counted against the exhibit if not done
properly.

7512 Use of Basic Tool Set. exhibits which demonstrate basic leather tools.
7513 Edging and. or least double style lacing, assembly or small articles or
two-part projects.
7514 Apply hardware and assembly, more advanced assembly techniques to
include one of the following: folding, skiving, molding, lining.
7515 Backgroud dyeing or figure carving, on more difficult article.
75)6 Filigreeing and -or embossing, more detail assembly.
7517 Show at least one new advanced technique, such as hand sewing, designing
own pattern, cutting project from hide.
7518 A major article, showing considerable advanced techniques and ability to
handle a large project.
7519 Other techniques, may include pyrography (burning), freehand stamping,
silhouette, inverted carving, etc.

78000 - SPECIAL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT
The purpose of the "Special 4-H photo exhibit" is to provide a showcase for telling
the 4-H story in pictures, provide an opportunity for all 4-H members to share photos,
demonstrate how 4-H members can be involved in the selection process and provide a
process for identifying 4-H photos which can be used to communicate 4-H activities
and programs. The "special photo exhibit", both at county and state fair, will be a
display of county photos taken by any 4-H member, not Just photography members.
Color or black and white photos may be used. Each print, regardless of size, should
be mounted on poster, art or photo board approximately 8 x 11 inches in size. Entries
should include name, age, address and county of photographer on the back of the
entry, and an identifying caption for the picture or pictures on the front. Include
negative, placed in an envelope and attached to the back of the mounting board.
