1 jar jam. jelly or similar spread
1 jar pickles or relish
menu card showing how above are used
2. Gift package - jams and jellies
This exhibit to be no less than 4 half pint jars displayed in basket or decorated
container.

To further stimulate and reward the interest in home canning. Ball Corporation,
West Coast Division, offers Ball Canning Jars and Ball Blue Books to first and second
place winners in Open Class and 4-H fruits and vegetables. Ball '-Quilted Crystal"
Jelly Jars and Ball Blue Books will be awarded to first and second place winners in
Open Class and 4-H exhibits in jellies, jams, and pickles. Three Special Youth Awards
of Ball Canning Jars, Ball Blue Books and Ball Start to Can Tomato Cookboods will be
awarded to participant who plan and exhibit menus for one day (three meals). Three
jars of homelanned food must be exhibited with the menus.
To be eligible, an exhibit must be canned in Ball Jars and sealed with Hall Caps and
Lids.
DIVISION 4 - FOODS
Superintendents: Mrs. George Currin. Mrs. Darrel Vinson
Place food items on a paper plate and in a plastic bag rather than wrapping in
plastic wrap.
Except for a small portion. Wheat League Cakes may be? taken home after judging.
Men will have a division of their own.
