WESTERN PLEASURE
To be shown at a walk, jog, trot and lope both ways of ring. Judged on performance
& manners. Western attire k equipment, with same requirements as for stock seat
c la sues. Rider wishing to compete toward performance horse must enter lot 9
instead of age group. One cannot enter in another age group k lot 9 with the same
horse.

5. Western Pleasure 8 It under.
6. Western Pleasure 9 through 11.
7. Western Pleasure 12 through 14.
8. Western Pleasure 13 through 18.
9. Western Pleasure 19 k over (Performance Horse class.)
PERFORMANCE HORSE TRAIL CLASS
Lot 10.
For all ages, but only for riders competing for performance horse. To be shown
through and over obstacles. To be judge on manners, performance and form.
Equipment same as for stock seat or western pleasure. One cannot enter this and
the trail horse classes in Class B Lots 13 It 14 with the same horse.
BAREBACK EQUITATION
Riders to be judged on hands and seat and suitability of horse to rider. Horses to be
worked both ways of ring at a walk, trot, and canter.
Lot:
11. Ages 14 & over.
12. Ages 13 & under.
REINING CLASSES
LOT.
13. For horses four years & under. Bosal hackamore or ring snaffle without Bhanks
only. No nosebands, tiedowns, drawreins or martingales. Two hands permitted
on reins. Pattern same as following class.
14. For horses over 4 years old. Horses must be ridden with grazing, long shanked
snaffle, curb, half-breed, or spade bit. Nosebands, tie downs, draw-reins, or
martingales not permitted. No wire curbs, curb chains must be V in width. One
hand on reins. Western equipment & attire.

The arena or plot should be approximately 50 X 150 feet in size. The judge shall
indicate with markers on arena fence or wall the length of the pattern, markers within
the area of the pattern will not be used.
Ride pattern as follows:
1. to 2. Run with speed, past center marker. .
2. Stop and back to center of pattern.
3. Settle horse for approximately 10 sec. Start lope to the right. Figure 8 should be
made inside the end markers.
4. k 5. Ride small Figure 8 at a slow lope.
6. & 7. Ride a larger Figure 8 at a faster lope.
8. Left roll back over hocks (should be made past far end marker.)
9. Right roll back over hocks (should be made past near end marker.)
10. Stop, (should be made past center marker) let horse settle, and in approximate
area of stop, do the pivots.
