i LASS H: CHILDREN PERFORMANCE
LOT:
1. Leadline Class -- For children ages five & under. Entrant will be shown at a walk
and trot, led by an adult. Western saddle & bridle with leadline attached. Ribbons
for all contestants.
2. Performance Ponies -Ponies are eligible from Lots 13 & 14. (Must have Western
saddle & equipment. Judged on ponies' performance at a walk, trot, canter.
Riders up to and including 12 years of age.)
TRAIL HORSE CLASS - Judging of trail class will start immediately in the
afternoon. Participants must check in with trail horse judge who will be stationed
at the course. To be judged on manners, performance & form. Contestant must
follow prescribed course. Elimination for unnecessary delay or being off course.
After 3rd refusal for per obstacle, participant must proceed to next obstacle.,
3. Ages 13 & Under
4. Ages 14 through 18.
CLASS C: ENGLISH PERFORMANCE
English Pleasure
Any modification of Hunt Seat or Saddle Seat tack and attire acceptable.
Appointments not to be judged. To be judged on the rail for manners, quality, and
performance. There must be three entrants per age group or classes will be
combined.
1. Riders 20 & over. To be shown both ways of ring at walk, normal trot, strong
trot, canter and hand gallop. To stand quietly and back readily.
2. Riders IS through 19. (Same requirements as above class.
3 Riders 14 yrs. of age & under. To be shown both ways of ring at a flat walk, trot,
. and easy canter. Light contact must be maintained. To stand quietly and back
readily.
English Equitiation
Any modification of Hunt or Saddle Seat tack and attire acceptable. Appointments
not to be judged. To be judged on the flat at a walk, trot and canter with emphasis on
hands, seat and general horsemanship.
4. Riders 20 & over
5. Riders 15 through 19.
6. Riders 14 yrs. of age & under.

Working Hunter
Tack and attire of the Hunt Seat type. Boots and hard huts required. Tack and
appointments not to be judged. To be judged on performance and manners, with
preference shown to horses covering the course with free-flowing strides and which
jump fences without interrupting the rhythm, using the proper form. Circling once
upon entering ring and once upon leaving is permissible. Any other circling is a
disobedience, Fuilure to follow course or third disobedience anywhere on course is an
elimination, as is the fall of horse and-or rider. Patterns are to be posted prior to show
time. Course to be set up by management.
7. Riders 20 & over (to be judged over a course of not more than nine fences with
the maximum height of 3 feet.)
8. Riders 15 through 19 (Same requirement of course as above.)
9. Riders 14 & under (To be judged over a course of not more than six fences with a
maximum height of 2 feet six inches.)
CLASS D: JACKPOT GAMES
Jackpot Barrels and Pole Bending
No premiums. These two events will be timed and run according to standard
regulations. They will be held simultaneously, with the two age groups reversed.
Poles will be in front of south grandstand. These events will Im held while other
performance classes are in progress. Participants must sign in and pay money with
game officials.

1. Ages 14 & over ($3.00 entry fee.)
2. Ages 13 & under ($1.00 entry fee!)
Poles
3. Ages 13 & under ($1.00 entry fee.)
4. Ages 14 & over ($3.00 entry fee.)
CLASS E: WESTERN PERFORMANCE
Age of rider as of Aug. 1. 1981. Members of immediate family may ride same horse
providing classes don't conflict. Three minute gate hold only upon request. To be
eligible to be considered for All-around performance horse, that horse must be
entered in three of the performance horse classes, which are Lots 9, 10, 13, 14, 16 &
17. There must be 3 entrants per any class or that class will be scratched or
combined with another class as deemed by management. Performance contestants
will draw for order to work in the individual contesting classes. Should a contestant
enter more than one horse, It should be stated on entry form, the horse to be
considered for performance points. Rail classes will be held In the center of the
arena at the same time as the games division is underway.
Stock Seat Equitation
Riders will be judged on seat, hands. & performance of horse & suitability of horse to
rider. To be judged as a group at a walk, trot & canter voth ways of ring. No
hackamore bits, wire curbs, or curb chains narrower than V permitted. No
nosebands, tie downs, or martingales.
