ByBIRniNKTTM.IS.
Morrow Extension Sen ice
The Junior Livestock Show,
sponsored by Oregon Wheat
League annually is dated for
June 7-10 this year, and will
be held in Tygh Valley at the
Wasco County Fairgrounds.
The date noted in Morrow
Extension newsletter is an
incorrect date.
The Dalles show offers
opportunity to all 4-H and FFA
members to participate in the
livestock show and sale, but
also to sharpen their live
stock and meats judging
skills. Livestock judging and
meats judging contests will be
held on Tuesday. June 9. at 1
p.m., and will be scored
seperately. Prior registration
is not required for members to
participate in the judging
contests. Teams and individ
uals may judge with no limit
as to the numbers that may
participate from each county.
Foods members, as well as
livestock members are en
couraged to participate in the
judging contests.

Livestock Show in The Dalles,

central Grant county, at the
Jackman Youth and Natural

EXCHANGE WITH CANADA
One lucky 4-H member from
Morrow, Gilliam, Wheeler and
Sherman counties will be
chosen to participate in the
annual British Columbia-Eastern
Oregon Exchange sched
uled for June 21 - 28 this year.
The four members travel to
Canada with Extension Agent,
Ken Killingsworth, where they
visit in the homes of Canadian
4-H members. The exchange
is completed each year when
Canadian youth come to
Oregon about August 23rd for
a week visiting in homes of the
four counties. Since the mem
bers travel with Agent Kil
lingsworth. and live with host
families, cost of the exchange
is just their spending money
nri few meals en route.
