The Thursday evening
special meeting, of Holly
Rebekah Lodge, was well
attended to honor the Rebekah
State Assembly President Viv

The evening started with
dinner served in the dining
room. The tables were individ

and were decorated with
spring flowers of yellow daf
fodils and tulips, the presi
ent's colors and with lighted
candles. Serving the dinner
were Donna and Lynn Dee
Devin and Dee Dee Epping.
The meeting was called to
order by Noble Grand Joyce
Buchanan. The tableau of
Rebekah at the well was
portrayed by Hilda Yocom.
Virginia Peck and Dorothy
Burcham. The introduction
committee, consisting of
Delpha Jones, Gladys Van
Winkle and Virginia Peck, in
troduced the following guests
for the evening, the Assembly
President, the Assembly Mar
shall Jane Gregory. Assembly
Vice-President Marie McVey
and Past Assembly President
Zelma Watkins.
Gifts were presented to
guests and each gave a few
meaningful words to tlie
ladies. The Rebekah president
then told of several things that
the Oddfellows and Rebekahs
are doing this year and
planning for the future. The
project was an up-standing
round fireplace in copper
tones, installed in the social
rooms of the friendship house.
This being finished, the proj
jeet of the perpetual loan fund
was accepted as the project.
The president spoke on the
United Pilgrimage to the
United Nations, and stressed
that this is the only national
organization that is allowed to
send youngsters on this de
lightful trip. The camp ground
at Florence, Ore., has had
extensive work done on it, and
she urged that people take
advantage of this project and
stop for an overnight camp.
Holly Rebekah Lodge ex
pressed their thanks to Gladys
Drake from lone who was
their musician for the even
ing. Visiting with her was her
sister, Helen Pettyjohn, also
of Bunchgrass in lone. Decor

intersting and instructive ad

New Year's Parade in Pasa

that the local group will be
able to help financially with
this as the brothers and sisters
