Heppner High Drama Club
is working hard on rehearsals
for their spring production, a
musical version of "Cheaper
by The Dozen" scheduled for
April 30 and May 1.
Most of the large cast are
from the high school, with four
elementary school actors.
Three adults completing the
cast are Ron McDonald as
Dad Gilbreth. Linda Carpen
ter as Mother, and Michele
Portmann as Miss Brille, the
school teacher.
The dozen Gilbreth children
include Susan Johnson. Marti
Baker, Karen Kenny, Paula
Palmer, Shane Loughlin, Lisa
Nix, Sandra Wattenburger,
Beth Forrar, Carri Brown
field, Jaon Hedman, two
babies with no speaking parts,
and a shaggy dog who is also
hard at rehearsal.
Music with a wide range of
appeal from just fun to pathos
is under the direction of Jim
Ackley. Overall director is
Jane Rawlins. Glenn Smith is
stage manager, and scene
construction director is Larry
Cerullo.
