Greg Tilson, OSU community and rural
development extension specialist, will add
ress the annual meeting of the Morrow Soil
and Water Conservation District on develop
ing community organizations dealing with
local water problems. The Boardman and
Irrigon areas have specific water related
problems that affect community develop
ment. Mr. Tilson will take the approach on
how citizens might organize to solve their
particular problem and relate how other
communities have organized to solve similar
situations.
Dean Seegar, Morrow County planner, will
be available in the discussion to bring
attention to the long-range economic effect to
this area and how it can be enhanced by
integrated land use planning.
Others available fos comment will include a
representative from the Oregon Departmept
of Environmental Quality, Farmers Home
Administration and Dr. Tibbies, Morrow
County Health representative.
Annual meeting will be March 3, at 7:30
p.m. at the A C. Houghton School in Irrigon.
