Scores looked as if they might be tied for the first half but then Pilot Rock pulled Gridders High school football players, Ray Miller, Heppner, Gregg Rietmann, lone, Lerry Wilson, Riverside, and John Garrett, Arlington, have been named to the East team of the annual East-West Shrine Club foot ball game, it was announced Monday. The game will be played Aug. 8 at the Baker High School stadium in Baker, Oregon. Karl Elliott of Cas cade High has been named head coach of the east team and Bud Schoubes of Elgin will be his assistant. The announcement was made by the local Tri -County Shrine Club. Ray Miller is a 61" 185 lb. senior at Heppner High, where he played center for the Mustangs. He is the son of Joe and Bonna Rae Miller of Heppner. Gregg Rietmann is a 5'10", 180 lb. senior at lone High, where he played halfback for the Cardinals. He is the son of Bill and Marilyn Rietmann of lone. RC&D annual meeting slated A Columbia-Blue Mountain Resource Conservation and Development annual meeting will be held at Columbia Inn at McNary on Feb. 20 at 10 a.m.. President F.K. The new Morrow County Fair Committee and their superintendents have been working on the book, deleting some parts in some depart ments and adjusting some of the premiums.
