Goodbye,
It's been a week of farewells and homecomings.
Farewell to Harold and Carol Kerr and family. Harold,
Morrow County Extension agent for the past twelve years,
was one of the first people we met when we came to Morrow
County. He called us up to welcome us to the community tne
first week we were in town. He took David on a tour of the
area and introduced him to local ranchers.
Welcome home to the 52 American hostages held in Iran the t
past 444 days. Their captivity and release touched many in
the community so deeply that it brought tears to their eyes.
Welcome to President Ronald Reagan - in a homecoming of
sorts. Our thoughts join those of many others in hopes the
next four years will be a homecoming of prosperity, stability
and pride in the U.S.
Goodbye, hello, best wishes.

Sad situation
To the Editor:
It is sad we have people
around us who keep female
cats but let them run loose.
Then when other peoples pet
toms follow them home, the
receive a dose of poison.
I have found one of my pet
tomcats, a large dark Siam
ese, dying with convulsions
not far from where he
received the poison out in the
East end of town.
