Women's Aglow
plans fellowship
dinner meeting
The llcppncr Chapter of the
Wornen'H Aglow has planned a
dinner end fellowship meeting
on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 6:30
p. in. at the Episcopal Church
Parish hall.
Speaker for the evening will
he Karen Thomas. Mrs.
Thomas serves as treasurer
on the area board of Women's
Aglow and is the wife of Doug
Thomas, pastor of the Chris
tian Life Center (Assembly of
C!od Church).

A special "thanks" to
whomever is responsible for
the fine lighted tree nt the city
hall grounds and for the other
lights and decorations In the
town of Lexington. The people
passing through really enjoy
seeing the colorful lights, and
at the time of this enjoyment
we must remember that
someone took the time to
decorate and get the tree.
These people are really great
ly appreciated by the com
munity. I-cxington Grange met for
the regular meeting on Mon
day evening with Master
Rarbara Cutsforth in the
chair. The evening started
with a potluck dinner which
was served from tables decor
ated in the holiday motif.
The main business of the
evening was the installation of
officers by the Morrow County
Deputy Berl Akers, assisted
by Dot Halvorsen and Marilyn
Childcrs. Beside the Instal
lation of the IOxington officers
Master Ixwis Halvorsen and
secretary of Willows Grange,
Dot Halvorsen, were installed.
The rooms were decorated
with a lovely Christmas tree
and a clever driftwood ar
rangement with twinkle lights
was on the piano. The decor
ating was done by Charlene
Papineau.
A musical program was
greatly enjoyed, including a
tromtsine solo by Michael
Peck, and special vocal music
which was furnished by Nurita
and Phillip Marquardt and
pianist Doug Marquardt.
The January meeting will lie
under the direction of the men
of the grange starting with the
annual pancake supper
cooked and served by them.
Cards were sent to the shut-in
memliers away from our
community. Gifts were pre
sented to the installing team
and to the past Master,
Barbara Cutsforth.
Leila Messenger has re
turned home after a few days
stay in Pioneer Memorial
hospital.

chanan motored to Portland
Thursday where they met
their daughter, Katie, who will
spend a few days with her
parents from her home in
California.
Mrs. Frank Robinson and
Mrs. Kenneth Howard were
visitors in the Tri Cities where
they took Stormy Howard to a
physician.
Mrs. Freda Majeske has
been spending a few days at
the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Pat Wright, and family.

members at her home on
Thursday., A noon luncheon
was served, after which the
group held a meeting which
was presided over by Chair
man Dorothy Burcham. Those
present were: Virginia Peck,
Josie Peck, Ruth Robinson,
Donna Papineau, Dorothy
Burcham, Irene Padberg,
Joyce Buchanan. Catie Pad
berg. Kula Bloodsworth. Leila
Palmer and the hostess. The
door prize was won by Joyce
Buchanan. The January meet
ing will be at the Frank
Robinson home.
