November 20. 1980 EODC Women's International has fall meeting The fall meeting of Eastern Oregon District Council of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Wom en's International was hosted recently by the Pendleton Chapter, Epsilion Alpha. Fifty-two members, repre senting all eight chapters of the district, met for a lunch eon meeting at the Kopper Kitchen restaurant. The program, presented by the Gamma Upsilion chapter of Condon, was a movie featuring Mary Tyler Moore. "Women of Yesterday." The movie dealt with conditions under which women in earlier times worked and obtained voting rights. Alan Zimmerman, EOD president from Fossil, lend the meeting. Each chapter reported on their activities: many have excellent philanthropic pro grams. A special report was given on the fall leadership meeting held in The Dalles in Septem ber. The next state board meeting will be held in January. An invitation was received to the spring open house at Camp Meadow wood Speech Camp. This camp is the special philanthropic project of EOD. Enterprises Beta Xi Chapter was presented with the "Daredevil" award for their I979-1980 rushing pro gram. The U80-181 district budget was presented and approved. II was voted to send $45 to the disaster fund, in addition to the $53 made by raffling of an afghnn made by Ernestine Kilgore. Beta Xi Chapter, Enterprise. There was discussion on chartering a bus to go to state convention in Medfnrd in April of 1981. No decision was reached. Rap sessions for all officers were held and found very informative. Epsilon Alpha of Pendleton plans to make a courtesy bid for the Oregon state conven tion in April. t;)2. The Eastern Oregon district chap ters will help host this meeting. Wedding Announcement Rietmann Anderson Tami Kay Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson. Arlington, became the bride of Mark Everett Rietmnnn. son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rietmann, lone, on Saturday, Oct. 25, 1980, at a 2 p.m. ceremony. The Reverend pan Nichols of the United Methodist Church at Arlington officiated. White glads and pink mums graced the altar and candelabra. Pink nznleu plants and white pew bows with pink silk poppies completed the wedding scene. Tami, given in marriage by her father, Don Anderson, wore an organza gown with a stand-up collar and a bodice of Chantilly lace, trimmed with a ruffle of cotton Venice lace. The skirt, which extended into three flounced tiers, trimmed with Venice lace, fell in a chapel-length train. Her hat. which was of special design and matched the gown, was trimmed with silk orchids and featured a brim which turned up on one side, a pencil-edge veil and back pouf. For "something old." Bridesmaids were Miss Connie Steward, and Miss Ann Cnffelt, lioth of Arlington, and Mrs. Ruth Amsel, Heaverton. Torrie I'hilippi, Hoardman, was flower girl. King bearer was Hradlry Findley, Hood FUver, a cousin of the groom. Candle lighters were Connie Steward and Gregg Kictmann. Attendants wore long dusty pink crepe gowns of Vogue design, featuring flared caiielets. They carried small cascade bouquets of three orchids and ivy. The flower girl wore a floor-length cotton Burgundy print dress, trimmed wilh white lace. She carried n basket of daisies and roses Phil Carlson, Heppner, was liest man Groomsmen were Greg and Brian Uielmarm, brothers of the groom, and Brad Anderson, brother of the bride. Honored guests at the ceremony were mothers of the bride and groom, Put Anderson and Marilyn Ritmann; grandmothers, Mildred Wright, Heppner, Vera Ri(,mann. lone, and Margaret Hurst. Afler a buffet at the bride's parents' home near Blalock, which was attended by many relatives and friends, the couple left on a wedding trip to Bend urn) the coast As a going away outfit, the bride wore a Burgundy crepe dress with a lace collar. The couple will reside and work at the Don Anderson ranch (home of grandmother Mildred Wright) near Ruggs, where they have located a new double wide mobile home. Tami is a I(t7!i graduate of Arlington High School, and has attended Blue Mountain Community College at Pendleton She was employed by Pendleton Banking Company.
