Page 2 -Special MCGG Section 1 I If sheen a pretty successful organization "It's been a pretty success ful organization over the years." says Morrow County Grain Growers, Inc., Board of Directors President Gene Majeske. Gene, who has been presi dent since 1978 and a member since 1947. was also a member of the old Lexington Oil co-op hoard until its merger with MCGG in 17. "It's grown real well over the years," he says of the Grain Growers. "Its put out a lot of services over the years that we wouldn't have had without it." Gene, who was born and raised on a farm near Lexing- ton, says the co-op still has growth ahead in its future. "We need to expand into more handling facilities, so we can handle the grain in a more orderly fashion." "We have to have a well rounded neration here," he says of the co-op. "Other equipment dealers and such have gone by the wayside over the years and we have to take up the slack." The store offers farmers and others a wide section of hardware and other items for sale. Clerk at the slore, Judy Osmin. who has been with the company for one year, lists those things available us: animal heulth goods (just recently added), housewares, radios, tools, gardening equip ment, electrical and plumbing supplies, irrigation equip ment, hunting and fishing goods, toys, paints, automo tive supplies, rope, cable, garden supplies and much more. The store was opened in lf71 when the MCGG movM its offices to the present location.
