Krebs said that Morrow
County used to be a very
popular area for sheep farm
ers because the sheep would
graze in lowlands near the
Columbia River in north
Morrow County in the winter
and then travel to the south
end of the county in the spring
and summer. But when fences
were built and Morrow be
came a wheat-growing
county, the sheep herds
diminished.
