Trailing 8 7 gains into the
bottom of the seventh inning,
Heppner came up with two
runs to edtfe Condon 9-8 and
raise Its league mark to 2-0,
In the second game of the
doubleheader, which did not
count in the league standings,
Heppner won 41 behind the
pitching of sophomore Doug
Holland.
Heppner jumped to a 3-0
lend in the first game when
Jav Hayes doubled. Harry
(irosbens got on base on an
error and Doug Holland batted
in a run with a single. John
Murray smacked a triple for
two KM as Holland and
firoshens scored.
Condon came back with four
runs in the top of the fourth
inning and three runs in the
fifth to take a 7-3 lead.
Heppner came back with a run
in the bottom of the fifth
inning but the Blue Devils g"t
that run back in the top of the
sixth to lead B-4.
Heppner scored three runs
in the bottom of the eighth to
trail 8-7 then Hif pitcher
