Service is considering an exchange of
land with Boy Scouls of America, Blue
Mountain Council No. 604 under the
authority of the Acts of March 20, 1925,
as amended (16 U.S.C. 485,486), and
October 21, 1976 ( 43 U.S.C 1716). The

lower this week, as it always is during the month of October.

be held on Monday, Oct. 22,
1979, between the hours of 8
a.m. and 5 p.m.
The place of said election
will be the West Extension
Irrigation District office in
Irrigon, Ore.
The purpose of this election
is to decide whether or not to
purchase the Irrigon Pumping
System from the Western
Empire Corporation.

of lodgepole pine sawtimber, more or
less, have been marked or otherwise
designated for cutting. Estimated vol
ume is 1,700 M board feet. The minimum
lump sum acceptable bid for 1,700 MBF
is $38,726.00. Additional deposit required
for slash disposal is $2.47 per MBF.
Additional total lump sum deposit
required for road maintenance on
National Forest roads over the ap-
praised route is $1.40 per MBF. The I
contract includes a description of the I
maintenance work by roads for the 1
deposit. In the even that total bid value b
plus required deposits for this contract
exceed one million dollars ($1,000,000)
an EEO compliance review will be con
ducted on the high bidder to determine if
the provisions of Executive Order 11246
have been complied with before award
can be made. (All Included Timber,
except that not meeting Utilization
Standards, is subject to Timber Export
and Substitution Restrictions.) Bidders
are advised that violations of the Timber
Export and Substitution Restrictions
constitute breach of contract and may
result in contract cancellation, refusal to
award other timber sales to the violator,
and or debarment or suspension from
bidding on future timber sale. The
required bid guarantee is $8,000 00.
