Baileys Champions State Con Test As State Fair ended, an nouncement was made that Morrow County beef exhibi tors, Ken and Jeff Bailey were the champions in 4-H Herds manship. This contest is one we do not hear much about, but one that requires hard work and dedi cation. Herdsmanship is the way members display their animals with emphasis on the care of the animal and barn area. It is judged three ways; the member, his appearance, cooperation, courtesy, etc; the animal the grooming, care, comfort shown; the barn area clean and orderly, with pens, stalls, alleys, cleaned regularly, and signs or other details neat and complete. The herdsmanship contest is a very competitive event at State Fair, with county groups and clubs really working to bring home the honors. Con gratulations are in order. Todd's Presentation wins a blue The presentation class at State Fair included a blue ribbon winner, "Incredible Edibles", by Todd Harrison, Lexington. Todd shared his expertise on identifying both edible and poisonous plants found in the wilds, based on his experiences as leader of an outdoorsman 4-H club in which he stresses survival techniques.
