Myers, 37, died Monday even ing in a freakish accident, about 9:10 p.m. when the pickup in which he was riding collided with five horses on the Kunze Rd., a mile south of Boardman, according to Ore gon State Police, Arlington Division. , , , Myers vehicle was west bound when the accident occured and OSP reported an ambulance crew from Board- Eddie Thorpe Eddie Thorpe, 75, Heppner, died May 11 in . the Heppner hospital of a heart attack. He was born March 27, 1904 at Fargo, N.D., the son of Emile A. and Gunilla Thorpe, Mr. Thorpe was a retired Charles Kirk Charles Sylvester Kirk, a former Heppner resident, died in Hermiston on May 2 at the age of 70. He was born February 2, 1909 in Heppner, the son of James and Mary Florin Kirk. A retired auto mechanic, he was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Hermiston American Legion. Services were Saturday, May 5 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Tollefson officia ting. Carl and Betty Mar quardt sang "In the Sweet By and By," and the "Old Rugged Cross." - Concluding services and interment were held at Hep pner Masonic Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Esther, Hermiston, three daughters, Crystal Rathbun, Sun Dance, Wyoming, Patri cia wade, Hermiston, and Beverly Sherman, Heppner; a son, Clint Timmons, Gaston, Oregon; a sister, Marie Gotch ling, Portland, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sabre Farms founder dies Charles Kyd, 64, founder of Sabre Farms, Boardman, died Monday at home. Kyd, a director of the Port of Morrow County was retired from the presidency of Sabre Farms in 1977 and was working at the time of his ; death as a consultant on international irrigation developments. Born, May 28, 1914 in Greenridge, Missouri, he earned a B.S. degree in man attempted to revive the man without success. The second and final session will start July 24 and end August 4. This year an adult swim class will be offered which will be taught by Red Cross standards. If you would like to learn how to swim, classes start July 10 at 6 p.m. Red Cross Swimming Certificates will be given to all passing students. Basic Rescue and Water Safety (Jr. Lifesaving) and .
