arts and crafts supplies, gifts
Dianna's This & That an
arts and crafts supply and gift
shop will open its doors in the
1892 Building on Heppner's
Main Street 'iuosrVv May 8.

store, said grand opening
week specials and a door prize
drawing are scheduled. The
shop carries complete lines of
yarn, needlecraft and stichery
supplies, bisqueware and
plastercraft.
"An important feature of
the store is that we accept
consignment items from local
artists for giftware sales."
said Mrs. Fifield, who noted
that only handmade gift items
will be sold.
Dianna's will be open Tues
day through Friday from 9
a.m. to 5 pm. and Saturdays
from 9;:io a.m. to 4 p.m.
At a later date the store
owner hopes to establish a
crafts room where customers
can work on ceramic and
needlepoint items and classes
can be held.
The HSU:! Building has been
remodeled to accomodate the
new shop, by Mrs. Fifield's
husband. Ken, who operates
his own construction company
in Heppner.

County Medical Examiner,
speculated that the blow from
the baiter! ball may have
caused a nerve block to the
hoy's diaphragm and heart.
'I've been involved with
baseball for 70 years, and I've
never seen anything like this
happen," Dr. Tibbies said.
Bobby was a fifth grade
student at Heppner Elemen
tary. He was born April 1, 19(8
in Medford.
Funeral services were held
Tuesday at Hope Lutheran
Church in Heppner, with the
Rev. John Maas officiating.
Sacred selections were sung
by the congregation, with
Rikka Tews as organist.
Concluding services and
interment were at High View
Cemetery, lone. Sweeney
Mortuary was in charge of
arrangements.
Casket bearers were Robert
Mahoney, Robert Steagall,
Robert Montgomery, Paul
Tews, Cleo Childers and Audie
Brisso.
Bobby is survived by his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rich
ard Kinzer of Heppner, a
brother, James, also of Hep
pner and his paternal grand
mother, Mrs. Ruby Kinzer of
Lexington.
Contributions may be made
to the Shriners Hospital Fund
at the office of Turner, Van
Marter & Bryant, or directly
to Sweeney Mortuary.

did McCabe, while McElligott
was credited with two RBI's.
Shawn LaRue and Jeff Hams
each collected two runs batted
in and Les Thompson, Glen
Krebs and Barney Rea all
scored on hits.
The Cards ended up routing
the Huskies 15-4.
The win puts lone in a
three-way tie for third with
Condon and Wasco County.
