Board man
Park & Rec. Dist.
Resolved: The Boardman
Park and Recreation District
shall hold an election on
November 7, 1978 on the
following question:
"Shall the Boardman Park
and Recreation District's tax
base be increased from $10,639
for the tax year 1978-79 to
$40,000.00 for the tax year
1979-80?
"Explanation: The number
of people enjoying the use of
the Boardman Marina Park
has increased tremendously in
recent years. The present tax
base pays only occasional
maintenance and repair at the
park. Increased tax revenues
will provide a fulltime ground
skeeper and the necessary
repair parts, supplies and
labor to keep the Boardman
Marina Park a pleasant re
creational area. A full-time
attendant may prevent much
of the vandalism which has
been particularly expensive to
the District. The increased tax
base will require an estimated
tax levy of 9 cents per
thousand dollars."
Adopted by the Board of
Directors of the Boardman
Park and Recreation District
at a special meeting held for
that purpose on September 15,
1978, at 4:00 pm.
