CF Horse-a-thon
set for May 20
Mrs. Bobby Angeil, Hepp-
ner, has been named local
chairman of the 1978 Spring
Horse-A-Thon for Cystic Fi
brosis and is now making
plans for the annual fund
raising event. The Horse-A-Thon
is scheduled for May 20
and the time and place will be
announced soon.
Riders interested in partici
pating are encouraged to find
I sponsors to pay them a certain
amount for each lap or mile
completed. Participants who
collect and turn in $25 or more
will receive an "I Made It"
t-shirt for their efforts.
Sign-up lists will be avail
able at both the Heppner High
and Heppner Elementary
school offices and further
information on the Horse-A-Thon
can be obtained by
calling Mrs. Angell at 676-9235
or Pat Wright at 989-8169.

initiated into the Lexington
Grange Monday, April 17, at
the Lexington Grange Hall.

Mrs. Berl Akers.

and Mrs. Grover Peck, Mr.
and Mrs. Lyle Peck and
Barbara Cutsforth.
Preceding the meeting, the

Munkers. .

na Grange, to be held April 29,
10:30 a.m. at the Rhea Creek
Grange.

awarded
Shannon Kelly, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kelly,
Heppner, recently received a
College Academic Scholarship
from Linfield College, Mc
Minnville. Kelly, a junior at Linfield,
was considered for the scho
larship after being ranked in
the 11 through 35 percentile of
her class. The $800 scholarship
will be used for the coming
spring term.
