potluck dinner on Sunday,
March 19. Following the
potluck, awards were given to
several members honoring
them for accomplishments in
1977.
Winners of the club awards

The local club was very
proud to have three members
place in the Bow Hunter of the
Year Awards given by the
Oregon Bow Hunters. Deena
Reid placed second in the
ladies division. Raymond Reid
was eighth in the mens class
and Mark Peterson took
second in the youth division.

Easter morning at the pit on
top of Kinzua mountain. An
Easter breakfast will be
served at the Kinzua Church
after the Services.
Thursday at 7 p.m. a
communion service to com
memorate Good Friday will
be led by Kathrine Breors.
The first warm days of
spring arrived a little early
this year to rather mixed
feelings. Mixed because its
always good to see and feel the
renewal of life that spring
means, but for Kinzua it is the

Rita and Cindy Bowman
stopped in Prineville Friday
on their way to Bend. Sara
Riney joined her mother and
sister for the day in the big
town where Cindy had a
medical appointment. Cindy
returned to Prineville on
Sunday with Linda Conklin to
spend her school vacation with
her sister, brother and brother-in-law.

Electricity, its uses and
dangers, was illustrated with
a lecture, film and demonstra
tions, at the Lexington Grange
Monday night when Rod Aho,
information officer from Co
lumbia Basin Electric Co-op
was present. Many phases of
electricity were covered from
lightning to generators. Little
do people realize the danger of
electrocution in every day life,
by carelessness in handing
appliances and things we take
for granted which can be
dangerous to us physically.
Mr. Aho had several well
prepared demonstrations
showing electric current and
how it travels through mater
ials. The evening started with
a pot-luck dinner, and was
followed by a business meet
ing conducted by the Master
Carl Marquardt. Mr. and Mrs.
Henry G. Peck and Mr. and
Mrs. Lyle Peck were added as
